‘TIS THE SEASON FOR HOLIDAY GIVING
November 28, 2017
Today is Giving Tuesday, the opening day of the holiday giving season. We know that there are so many choices when choosing a cause to donate to during the holidays.
To make it a little easier we have put together a list of local charities who help those less fortunate in this great city of ours.
SASKATOON FOOD BANK AND LEARNING CENTER
Help us Stuff the Arbutus Properties Truck.
We are excited to stuff the Arbutus Properties Truck with non-perishable food items for the Saskatoon Food Bank at our Holiday Event on December 6th from 4pm-8pm. For more information check out our blog.
If you cannot make it to our Holiday Event you can also drop off items up until December 21st during our Showhome hours.
ADOPT A FAMILY
Donate as a family, a group or a business.
Be matched up with a less fortunate family through the Salvation Army. Provide the family everything they need to have a Christmas they deserves! Click here to learn more about the Adopt a Family Program.
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE
Foster, volunteer, or donate much needed items.
A foster-based organization that rescues and re-homes dogs. They work to address the overpopulation problem and promote responsible dog ownership. Donate your time through volunteering, nylon leashes, easy walk harnesses, Baskerville muzzles or food. Learn more ways to help New Hope Dog rescue here.
THE SASKATOON CRISIS NURSERY
Gather your kids gently used clothes, toys and books.
A home away from home whose families are experiencing a crisis. When families are in crisis, the Crisis Nursery offers a safe haven where children can take a break from stressful situations. Donate children’s clothing, toys, books, games, and new stuffed animals. Click here for a complete list of ways you can help The Saskatoon Crisis Nursery.
There are MANY more deserving charities in our amazing city. Here are a few more local charities and non-profits who would appreciate your help this holiday giving season.
